Thrift Store Adventure: 001

I guess this is our first legitimate blog post, considering the previous one was an introductory post. Yes, boring, but it has to happen. It's spring break here, so we decided to christen it with a trip to our local thrift store!

This resale store is one of the closest (and nicest) where we live, so whenever we have a clothing search outing, this place is always one of our stops. We spent almost three hours in here today, racking up some essentials for this summer (and next winter!).

derp derp so many clothes

   Danger:

We went to the guys' section first, and I found a ton of shirts. Sorting through them all was hard, especially the putting back the ones that turned out crappier at a second glance, but I got some cool stuff.

Daisy found this one for me. It's by Old Navy, so it's pretty good quality, and was $3.49.

The sun washed this one out a lot, it's actually navy, not black. It's made of an Under Armor-ish material, and was $3.49 too.
There is no way I can wear this any time soon, because it's made of a thick, black Under Armor-ish material like the other shirt. (Under Armor is one of my favorite brands.) This was $2.99.
This is probably my favorite thing that I got. It says, "SPARTAN RACE" in bold letters, and in the center there's a Spartan helmet.

This is the back. I love this shirt especially because it's an inspiration to work out. I'll cut out the sleeves later so I can wear it as an exercise shirt. It was $3.50.

Probably the hardest part of today was finding an Assassin's Creed: Black Flag shirt and having to put it back. It was a 2XL, stiff material, and the graphic was really faded. I love Assassin's Creed, but I won't waste money on a badly made shirt of it.

Daisy:

After we scoured the men's section, I had a few finds of my own from over there. And after only about thirty minutes in the women's, I had found some great tops and even a cardigan.

I love moons, and I love wolves. This Volcom shirt was calling my name as soon as I saw it. It was only $2.50, so I had to get it.

Enjoy Danger's half-face in the corner, hehe. I love this shirt a lot. It's oversized and gives the illusion that I'm a rebel, when that clearly is not the case. This shirt was $1.99.

This is proooobably one of, if not the, cutest thing I've ever picked up in a thrift store. You can't see it in the picture, but the chambray-esque fabric is patterned with hearts. The cute, girliness overload happens with the heart shaped buttons and lace panels. The only part I dislike is the fact this is a romper. I only paid $3.49, so I don't have any hesitation to try and turn this into a cute summer tank top.

This picture doesn't do this cardigan justice. It's oversized, has gorgeous patterns, and is a light creamy color. To make it fit better, I rolled up the sleeves. It makes me want to jump into mori girl fashion, because this would be a perfect layering piece. It cost only $0.79 because there's a stain on one of the sleeves. Nothing a Woolite soak can't fix!

I had also found a black tank top/poncho mix with fringe, made of a very soft material. I ended up not getting it because Danger didn't like it (it was too low cut, which I understand) and I didn't want to look like a Willie Nelson doppelganger, considering my purse is also fringe.
